EDI 128 - UCC

The UCC-128 label is also known as the GS1-128 label. Buying organizations such as retailers, grocers and distributors often require their suppliers to use GS1-128 labels in conjunction with an advance ship notice (EDI 856).

These labels are used to communicate the details of a shipment so the buying organization knows its contents without having to open each box and manually count each piece. UCC-128 labels can be applied to pallet shipments and individual cartons.
